A Thread: Football Stars Showing Slay Praise

You probably know by now that Pro-Bowl CB, Darius Slay, is now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. The move came a day after Byron Jones, a presumed Eagles target, inked a deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Philadelphia had to part ways with two mid round selections in the upcoming draft to acquire Slay but with an abundance of selections already and a huge need in their secondary, it was a no brainer move for Howie and the Eagles front office.

Defending the pass has been a weakness of Philadelphia’s defense for the better part of the last decade. Adding a player of Slay’s caliber is definitely a step towards changing that. Slay has been named to the Pro-Bowl for the past 3 seasons, with an All-Pro selection in 2017 as well.

With people quarantining across Philadelphia and the world as a whole, I compiled some tweets and social media postings from standout players and football figures showing their appreciation for Darius Slay and his game.
