Today, all veterans reported to camp for the first time this year. Position competitions will begin, practices will become more intense and all the other drama that comes with training camp will soon set in. Here are some notes from the first day of full-team training camp.
•Jordan Matthews practiced fully for the first time this offseason. He has been dealing with knee tendinitis.
•Jordan Hicks practiced fully despite having his hand wrapped.
•Sidney Jones was seen catching balls from the JUGS machine. There is still no definite timetable of when he can participate in practice full-time.
•The 1st team corners during offense vs defense was Jalen Mills and Patrick Robinson. Ron Brooks was the starting nickel corner. Rasul Douglas and CJ Smith were the 2nd team corners.
•Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry were 1st team DE’s. Derek Barnett played alongside Chris Long for 2nd string.
•Rasul Douglas had a forced fumble after a completed pass to Alshon Jeffery.
•Jordan Matthews caught a deep bomb from Carson Wentz where he reached over the corner and grabbed the ball. He fell to the ground and bounced right back up.
•Mack Hollins had another strong practice, grabbing multiple deep balls along the sideline.
•One play was ran where Darren Sproles was in the backfield and Donnel Pumphrey was lined up in the slot.
•Nelson Agholor had a drop on a long pass from Wentz. Starting to look the first round draft pick we know and hate.
In Irrelevant News…
•Nick Foles switched to a black and white Nike arm sleeve. His swag rating goes up 2 points.
•Howard Eskin was at practice and was wearing a purple/pink suit that looked very similar to the one Willy Wonka wore..
•Other than that, today’s practice was fairly uneventful. Check back tomorrow for more Training Camp news.
